Privacy Policy

Your browsing data stays on your device.

FocusGuard is designed as a local-first Chrome extension. It does not require an account, does not use analytics, and does not send your website usage data to an external server.

Information FocusGuard Stores

FocusGuard stores extension settings and usage history locally in Chrome Storage on your device.

  • Tracked website domains and daily time limits
  • Daily usage totals for configured websites
  • Focus Mode sessions and completion status
  • Blocked attempt counts and productivity score history
  • Theme, goals, and other extension preferences

Information FocusGuard Does Not Collect

FocusGuard does not collect personal information and does not transmit your browsing activity to us.

  • No account, email address, or profile information
  • No analytics, telemetry, or advertising identifiers
  • No sale, sharing, or rental of user data
  • No external database or backend service

Chrome Permissions

The extension uses Chrome permissions only to provide its core features: tracking active tab usage, storing settings locally, showing notifications, and redirecting blocked websites to the local blocked page.

Data Control

You can remove stored extension data by deleting websites from FocusGuard, clearing Chrome extension storage, or uninstalling the extension. Because the data is local, FocusGuard cannot recover it after it is removed.

Changes

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with the latest extension materials.
